internet hasn't been any help. just said the other guy was on a 450r and that they collided at an intersection... I hate hearing about these things. Sad, sad day...:(

very reliable sources have told me that they were both river riding here in mn. They were not riding together, came around a corner and hit head on.

My condolence to the Hansen family, you will be in my prayers. Also a speedy recovery for Daryl and his son.


Daryl and his son were in a Rzr, the accident happened on a frozen river and at recreational speeds.

I was there there :( a few of us gave Cory cpr to no avail. He went quick doing what he loved. Daryl is doing ok but he feels bad about losing one of his friends. I don't think Daryl's needing surgery like originally thought. We were riding fast on the river unstudded going one way, Daryl was coming the other way, they tried to get away from each other and couldn't. It was nobody's fault.

I really miss him...

That's really sad. I don't know which is worse....but I think his injuries don't compare to what he's feeling in his heart.:( Take Care Rath family and my condolences to the Hansen family.:(

very sad for sure. Cory was only 33. i can't imagine how Daryl feels. i had talked to him saturday morning. crazy how life can change in a matter of hours. my thoughts and prayers go out to Cory's family and to the Rath family.

Just out of curiosity, any details on the actual cause of death? Head injury, neck/spinal cord, internal bleeding? Was he wearing a helmet?
