Zac won the Pro Flat Track / Supermoto Racer of the year!
The article mention that, Zac Willett, Henderson, Ky., is either the most popular ATV racer in America or he’s highly skilled at self promotion. ( I think it’s a little of both) Zac was picked as the ATV Sport Pro Flat Track/Supermoto Racer of the Year for the second straight year.
Zac owes his thanks to all of his fans and friends for winning this award once again. The ATVSport people Choice Award is a popularity contest as well recognition for someone’s involvement in this sport. Zac has been racing more that half of his life and has 12 years at the national level. Both Zac and myself have made hundreds of friends over the years and supported the sport to the fullest.
Both Zac and I personally want to thank you for your vote and support once again this year. Hopefully this will the start of a winning year for him!

In their ninth year, the ATV SportPeople’s Choice Awards were originally created as part of the Grand National Championship postseason ATV racing banquet and were designed to acknowledged racers for successful seasons in motocross and flat track. They are called the “People’s Choice Awards” because they are voted on by ATV Sport readers and www.atvsport.com Web site visitors.
We had another great voting turnout in 2007. Each separate category had 10 nominees and a spot for write-in candidates. As with many people’s choice awards, the people had their own opinion on who should win. Though all the racers were deserving, there can only be one winner for each category.

Cross Country Racers of the Year
Yamaha’s Bill Ballance broke Barry Hawk’s record of seven straight Grand National Cross Country ATV Pro Class titles by winning his eighth straight title in 2007. Ballance won six events, including the last two of the year to rally past Chris Borich. in ’07, Ballance reached the podium in every race. Dating back to 2006, he has recorded 20 straight podium finishes aboard his YFZ450. He is the 2007 ATV Sport People’s Choice Award for Pro Cross Country Racer of the Year. First runner-up: Chris Borich. Second runner-up: Josh Frederick.
The 2007 ATV Sport People’s Choice Award recipient for Amateur Cross Country Racer of the Year is six-time GNCC Women’s class champion Traci Cecco. Aside from Ballance, Cecco might be the most dominate Yamaha ATV racer in the country. She started the 2007 season with seven consecutive class wins and six morning overalls. She ended the year with three morning podiums and an Ironman win. First runner-up: Brandon Sommers. Second runner-up: Dillon Zimmerman.
Ohioan Walker Fowler dominated the GNCC Youth Production (13-15) class with 10 wins aboard his Honda. He also won a dirt bike class in 2007, proving he’s fast and extremely talented. Voters chose Fowler as the 2007 ATV Sport People’s Choice Award for Youth Cross Country Racer of the Year. First runner-up: Buddy Williams. Second runner-up: Grant Mitchell.
MX Racers of the Year
The 2007 WPSA SuperQuad Pro 450 Champion John “Ironman” Natalie was honored him the ATV Sport People’s Choice Award for Pro MX Racer of the Year. After winning Round 1 of the WPSA series, Natalie suffered a wrist injury that could have sidetrack other riders. However, this proven champion overcame the injury and factory-backed competitors to win three other rounds and the pro title. First runner-up: Chad Wienen. Second runner-up: Jeremy Lawson.
With nine career championships to her credit, Angela Butler has already proven she knows how to win. 2007 was no exception for this Arizona racer, as she won the “Womens A” class in both the ATVA MX Nationals and in the WPSA series — that’s impressive. With 26 percent of the votes, Butler was selected as the ATV Sport People’s Choice Award Winner for Amateur MX Rider of the Year. First runner-up: Cody Miller. Second runner-up: Greg Gee.
The voting for the Youth MX Racer of the Year was the closest of any category. Dillon Starks, WPSA 90 Two-stroke/125 Four-stroke Mod (8-12) class champion, garnered 18 percent of the vote and earned the ATV Sport People’s Choice Award. Three other riders had at least 15 percent of the vote. First runner-up: (tie) Neal McGrath/Cody Janssen. Second runner-up: Jeffrey Rastrelli.

Second runner-up: Lake Kuba.

Sunbury, Pennsylvania’s Chris Borich is considered one of the fastest and most talented ATV racers in the sport no matter what machine he rides. He finished fourth in the WPSA QuadTerrain Pro Stock ranks aboard a Can-Am Outlander 4x4. Had Borich attended the first two rounds of QuadTerrain action, he may have earned himself a championship — yes, he’s that good! The voters selected him as the ATV Sport People’s Choice Award for Utility Racer of the Year. First runner-up: Jesse West. Second runner-up: Scott Kilby.
