hands down best nerfs there are....Awsome quality, great fit, the pegs are amazing. And netted heelguards give you so much more room.

Personally I don't care for the netted heelguards, but other than that it's all thumbs up. Excellent quality, a buddy of mine has them on his, and he'll give you the same answer as myself and rider. Very few can match or keep up with Rath!

My brother has raths on his kfx and I don't like them. The heelguards open the clips on my boots. But to each his own, I'll stick with my ims rolls.

Put my raths on last week. Great fit, light weight compared to others but sturdy as hell. They feel great underneath my feet. I wasn't disappointed in any way.

Overpriced and have net heel guards (why???).

I'd look at Pro Armor race pegs or AC pro pegs.

netted heel guards keep mud from packing up, mud=extra weight.
I should have mine by the weekend, will get some pics up.

mine didnt fit that great. but once they were on i LOVE them!

Can't say one way or the other on the Rath nerfs, but I've got the Pro Armor fat peg nerfs and they fit perfectly and I wouldn't trade them for any other nerf bars that I've currently seen.

rath is the way to go. they might be a little more money but most other pro peg nerfs the footpeg is made out of alluminum and they cannot be replaced for rath they can be and there very sharp ive had rath on both my honda and kawi and ill always have em go rath!!!!!!

Yeah the rath pegs are also steel, so they dont wear down as fast, and the powdercoats holds up without a problem...cant say that about AC's spray painted products!!

I can't comment on the Raths except I haven't seen many negative posts on them. Just to give you another option, take a look at Pro Armors PowerGRIP Nerf Bars. They are 3 separate pieces so if you damage one part, you don't need to replace the whole set. The foot pegs are steal and your boot won't move unless you want it to. Mine were around $500 so they aren't cheap but I love them.

Just to comment on the guys who say the netted heal guards are better for mud. They may be but, not everyone rides in muddy conditions. I live on the west coast and haven't ridden in mud since I bought my KFX. It is good to point out the benefit of the netted guards but for me, I don't like or need them. Likewise I can see that they may be better for people that do ride a lot in muddy conditions.

I just switched to Rath from AC pro pegs because the AC nerfs cracked in multiple places and the steel tube bent on both sides. The netted heelguards are so much better imo.

I personally would never buy ACs again, on my 450r the mounts broke and the nerfs fell off when I was riding, I was lucky I didn't end up with a broken ankle. Also they mount like crap.

Rath is top of the line, also I've heard good things about UM nerf bars.

I've heard UMs are crap. And Rath's netted heel guards are http://woopig.net/board/Smileys/classic/rainbow.gif as hell.

I went with AC Blacklines and they are tits. Mounts are good and they are just as sturdy, if not more so, than my old AC pro pegs on my 400EX.

The netted heal gaurds serve a couple functions other then mud also. They reduce weight, not much but its some, and they give you a little bit more room for some people with bigger feet. Also the nets re replaceable, so say something rips your netting, its like 20 bucks for a brand new set of nettings, cant beat that!

Id rather have nerfs that last and dont look the best than have good looking ones that are crap and break in multiple places. Raths are one of the most durable nerfs out there. Chad used to run raths on his honda and he was probably the hardest on his equipment. no pros that i know of run ACs. Yes they run what their sponsors give them but if something doesnt hold up they wont run it. I personally had my ACs crack, break, bend so many times, I got sick of it and switched to raths. havent had a problem since.

We agree to disagree.

Bottom line is, you've fallen victim to Rath's marketing.

victim to rath's marketing? how so?
i got sick of my ACs breaking, cracking and bending so i went with a company known for durability on its products. i see very few people have problems with rath, yet every 3rd person has something go wrong on their ACs.

Im not one to say this is better then that, however I will state again that any neerf with a built in heel gaurd will crack, haved cracked and will continue to crack. I personally dont like to have another part to install(i.e. a seperate heel gaurd) but I see so many come in here cracked (of all manufacture) that switching to the Rath Nerf was a given.

I also did not like the idea of a netted heel gaurd until I actually rode with them and honestly I prefer it now over standard heel gaurds. They never interfered with my boot, offered support when I did have my heel that low and were a snap to clean.

Will they break? Sure, they are made of aluminum and is prone to it just like all others however Rath is fast developing a reputation for taking care of it's customers so I dont fear getting a replacement part when the time comes.

The only draw-back I have is that the monster peg "feels" like it places my foot location higher but others that have riden this set up stated it felt fine to them (personal preference)

I have had the same set of Rath nerf's on 2 different LT-R's since early 2006. Replaced nothing but nets a few times and the pegs are still sharp. That's 3 solid seasons and nerf's are still good. I think that sums it up. You CANNOT move your feet around enough with solid heel guards if you are a bigger guy. I have seen a lot of AC's crack around the heels.

Well, Pro Armor and I are not on good terms for 2009.... because I have had issues with fitment of products, and their customer service.

Frustrated, mad, and disgusted as I am with them.... I still find myself curling my nose up at other brands of stuff like this... I think because I like their pegs so much...

D@mn them... it's hard to beat their pegs!

I have their Fat Pegs on my 400EX, and I have also had them on my KFX 450R... they just didn't fit right.

Now, like one other guy here, I have the full PowerGRIP system on mine. Didn't fit right either, but the multi-piece deal gave me more to play with to work it out. But I have yet to get a set of nets that fit the KFX. And I would like to get the fender mounts re-worked again.

Anyways, I wish I had the billet PowerGRIP pegs, but have the steel ones. Very durable, but heavy. The pegs are freakin monsters, even compared to Fat Pegs. They are even wider front to back. All of the extra size that way is added on the rear of the peg though.... Which I am still trying to get used to.

So for the inital purchase price, and if you are not going to beat them brutally against things... I suggest the Fat Peg nerfs for cost, feel, strength and room.

For replaceable parts for beating, the PowerGRIP system might be cheaper in the long run.

And as for heel guard nets... they are worthless for anything but catching things... maybe your foot... but the raths are so small I question that happening...

So I just don't like them. I want something solid that is going to protect my heels actually and GUARD them from stuff.

If I were running MX only though, I would look at the DG double nets or the Pro Aluminum double nets... they are pretty large and would work out fine for mx track use.

personally rath nerfbars are pointless unless u get the monster pegs. i run the pro aluminum with netted heel guard and i love them and the size of the pegs.

I have the AC racing nerfs like Yeehaw, same color. I installed them ( pain in my ***!! ), the fitment of the was ridiculous. The pegs are replaceable and comfortable, but the heel gaurd doesnt give enough room. So what did I do? I just got some raths off of orange_kawa on here. Can't wait to get them. Plus, when i wanted to order new black nets, AC's customer service was sh*t. Sorry, but RATH FOR THE WIN!
