Im trying to design my own set of A-arms... but I dont know what type of CAD program I would need.
Does it need to be 3D, or would 2D suffice?
If anyone knows of a free or trial version I can use, and upgrade later, I would love it.
Thanks for your help,
Justin

solidworks is the way to go. its a 3d modeling system and you can get a student copy for like $150 i think.

Thats a bit much, since all I need it for is to design this one set of a-arms.
I want to try and make my own LT a-arms and save the 700 bucks.
Its worth a try, and if I succeed, I get to have the pride and satisfaction in knowing I made them myself.:)

Solidworks is pretty much the only way to go....but to actually build some arms, you don't need to draw them out on a computer.....
Or are you having someone else go off of your computer drawn plans....??

Im building them myself. I just want to try some different things out and try to match them up as best as I can to laegers LT arms.
Im not making an EXACT copy. That would be illegal, im just looking at pictures and trying to match them up.
