I have a 500cc(99mm) big bore kit for a 2004/05 honda trx450r atv. This is the earlier version with the cast(oem looking), plated cylinder. It has a 13.5:1 comp piston. I have had the kit for 2 years, but I only ride at silverlake sand dunes twice a year on a friday and saturday only. With the execption of these 4 trips and some dyno runs, thats all the time this kit as seen.
In the instructions that came with the kit, some not all quads will require a casting mark/bubble on the right inside of the case to be removed to gain clearance for the cylinder. My early 04 model required this. It took more time to duct tape the inside of the cylinder closed than to actually remove this with a dremel tool. Again not all bikes will require this mod.
Everything is in great shape. Note the pic with the yellow backround, there is this small casting flaw in the cylinder. It was there when I recieved the cylinder new from dasa. You'll see a small hole in the bottom of the hole where the outside head bolt goes. When installed this is on the bottom and unnoticable. Is does nothing to affect the cylinder's function or appearance for that matter when installed. I paid $850 new plus shipping. I'll sacrifice for $450 shipped. I will include a new base gasket. I do not have a new head gasket, but a new one can be obtained from dasa, fst or cometic in either a .018 2 layer of a .027 3 layer.
