head question

I have a '04 trx 450 that I have just replaced all the valves in. measured clearance and bought a shim kit to get it correct. Starts a whole lot better and will actually remain at idle without dying, but seams to be making a little noise from the head (like a pinging noise). It has been about 3 months of waiting for parts and vacation, so I do not remember if this is normal or not. Sounds fine at idle, but when you rev it has some noise comng from the head. Is this normal??? Probably just being paranoid.

Is the decompression lever clearance set right?

As long as everything is tight and the clearances are good I would say don't worry about it.

yeh i checked decompression and it is good

Did you put in a high performance cam?

If so that is the extra noise.
