3 out of 4 of my wheel bearings are toast
talked to my dealer he said he will warranty 'em
but should I?
If the stock ones are gone in 11 hrs should I go aftermarket ?
If so, any ideas on where?

The 07's were know to front wheel bearing issues. The 08's are different. So get the 08 bearings and see how they do. You can find the part numbers on Polaris web site so you can make sure your getting 08's.

both of the backs are wobbling pretty bad
so you answered my issue with the fronts, Thanks
but did polaris modify the back wb's for the 08's

Yes, they went from bushings to bearings. I had mine done last year under warranty. Have not had any problems with front.

This was a few years ago when I was racing my Predator and had bearing issues, I finally went to a good bearing house and got Timken/Fafnir sealed bearings. They looked at Polaris's new bearing that I had with me and showed me it said China stamped real small on it. They told me that they were cheap junk. Put in the Timken bearings and ended my problem. i replace all my bearings as they are worn with the Timken bearings on my Outlaw and ends my prob.

Hi, I have 07 525IRS with low hours on it and the rear wheels have play. I thought it was the wheel bearings, but, noticed it was my rear upper A-Arm bushings. Are you guys speaking of wheel bearings or A-Arm busings? I am definetly interested in fixing the sloppy A-Arm busings. Thanks for any insight. Mark, South Eastern Pa.

you had me worried there
so I went out and checked and
it is my wheel bearings that have alot of slop
but I did notice a very, very small amount of movement in those bushings and in the upper shock mount
the little play that mine have might be normal
but not sure

I MIS-READ POST. I HAVE NOT HAD NOR HEARD OF ANY ISSUES WITH THE REAR HUB/WHEEL BEARINGS. JUST THE CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS WHERE THEY MOUNT TO THE HUB.

well in all reality that might be what what the problem is but i'll let the dealer deside that
I just know that I can wobble the rims which aint right

Where the rear a-arms have needle bearings if you take them off and regrease them every 3-months or so it really helps to keep the rear arms tight, same with where they mount to the outer bearing carrier.

Just got a call from the good ol' dealer and they said polaris is covering the rear wheel bearings------sweet

And for the front one the tech said it was a tie rod end that was bad and --------polaris covered it

I thought for sure they were gonna kick some of this stuff back at me but didnt-------Polaris pulled though for me

since the dealer went through and fixed everything
its held up good but what do you guys do for maintaining the bearings front and back ( details please, I took things apart but couldnt see how to get to the bearings)
And what do you do about all the bushings that dont have grease fittings

I recently took apart and lubed all the bearings and bushings in the control arms, shocks, and sway bar.
Do you guys do anything with the rear carrier in the center by the chain and brakes ?
I didnt touch it but I will if needed.

I'd be interested in seeing what your doing. I'm planning to tear down my rear end in about a month, so it would be helpful.

Thanks,

Adam
