I am just getting back into riding. Just picked up a sweet yfz 450ready to go, but it is jetted a little lean. My head pipe at the cylinder glows red after about 5 minutes of warm up time, I'm shooting flames, and I'm getting the popping and cracking. I have a Alba Exhaust on it now, but I plan to go to a Curtis Sparks within the month.
Now the question is, can anyone tell me the basics of the 450 carb? Jet sizes, what jets, I guess the basics. This is my first 4-stroke. Was a banshee owner for the longest time. Is the carb similar to a honda 450r???
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I haven't torn it down yet, so I dont know what jets are in it.
