a 89 lt500 engine? don't say dr.q...i already had one from him and it was too freaking fast. it was more of a dune engine. lit up the wheels all the way to 4th gear on a mx track...

but who would u recommend for a nice mx 500 engine? i actually talked to allen knowles at ct and he was actually pumped to do it. allen himself is going to do the work...
but does anyone else have any opinions?

it's for a jp lt500r...sorry i posted in a 250r forum, but it's one of 2 two stroke forums....

If it was me I would have Loren Duncan or Neil do it.

i threw the carb on and took it for a short spin today...i actually am happy with the power being stock. big freaking difference from the dr.q 87 engine i had. that was hp! this is really smooth power...only problem is, it won't go into first gear. all the others have no problem...not sure what to look for.

never ridden a 350, but compared to a 330, it's nowhere near as pipey...when they say it's like a fourstroke, it is. really smooth power, like an old kdx400 or something. my buddies 330 just hits really hard in the band. he usually rides in a gear higher to control the hit.

not sure yet, but i'm considering selling the laeger 265pv and making this my main ride...

800, That looks like it has a 87 top end on it, 6 stud head & 5 bolt reed cage. I would send it to DrQ & have him upgrade the head studs, correct the squish, reinforce the ears & just do a clean up port to it. I am sure he can keep it fairly tame & make it extremely reliable.

that's just it, why bother rob with some simple work, when he's constantly building monster engines...
