cams?

lookin at cams and valve springs.. did some research but just wanna know whateveryone else got. an does the drze kit come with a camshaft? and do hotcams come with springs?

I run HotCams and Kibblewhite Valvesprings with titanuim retainers. I use this quad to race and they are holding up great! I can't really say how much HP I gained by going with HotCams because I did other mods at the same time. The drze kit does not come with cams and the HotCams do not come with springs. The drze valvesprings are also very good. I know a lot of people run them. Although to be honest, you only need to change the valve springs if you are going to add a CDI box that raises your rev limit.

IMO, yes for the money they are the best. There are companies that make more aggressive cams, but they are much more expensive and a lot of times you have to send them your old cams as an exchange. But if your interested, I know Web Cams are very good I hear. But again, for the money, you can't go wrong with HotCams.

megacycle. hotcams are junk. i put them in my lat two z motors (replaced hotcams) and it would destroy other 450s.

i dont have a site but maybe megacyclecams.com ? i just know that my engine builder swares by them and most of them are identical to the ones you can get from sparks. but i do think theyll be more than a hotcam. if your wanting a budget trail bike go with a hotcam. but if your racing go with megacycle. i had a 440 and 485 motor for mx. awesome power.

not really on a budget. im 16 and i got a parttime job at walmart. i work for my quad car and girlfriend. You gotta send your stock cam?

i see. i didnt have to send them anything. you saw my Z in the other post and that was the 485. you name it, it was in that bike. it was a 450 killer.

Hot Cams and kibble white's here nice setup alot more power noticed! No rev box yet, and im right next to my buddies HRC kit honda 450r with exhaust! Rev box is a must I can tell you that much we can only crank out to 8000 where as pretty much I think all the stock 450s go to 10000, that would make me pull ahead i know that much! Good Luck

If you are doing a CDI, cams and DRze kit, I would recomend getting new valves. The stock z valves are 2 peice and junk. Ofcoarse youll have to recut your head for the new valves which shouldnt be much.
