08' Fuel Tank on 04' TRX450R

I was thinking about trying an 08' fuel tank on my 04'. Basically just to have a different color tank. Any body know it works properly? Do you have to use the entire 08' body.

if you feel like blowing 300 dollars you can get the new undertank, the cover,, the metal strap, and the rubber strap u need to convert it...... personally imma keep my tank!

You're also going to need to replace the petcock, brackets, tank pins, the list goes on and on. The 08 tanks have created a big problem for many of us this year, IMS does not yet make an 08 oversize tank setup, and each rider that needs an oversize tank is shelling out up to $200 just for the parts to convert it!

I'd suggest sticking with the tank you've got...get some tank graphics if you want to cover it.

It will go on your old tank and they run about 50 shipped... here is a pic of an 04 with 08 tank cover.. guy said he trimmed a little but very very easy.
