Rotation of Crank

What damage is done if crank is rotated backwards on 400EX??

I've heard of this happening on a couple 400ex's. As far as I know there wasn't any permanent damage, but I don't guess it's really good for them. The only thing I can think of is maybe the one-way bearing on the starter.
