05 carb on 08?

Has anyone done this yet ? And does everyone know all the mods that need to be done? I heard that this is what borich was running on his last honda before he switched. Was saying it helps the bike alot with low end bog and stalling for tight gncc races. Let me know . Thanks

i will trade you carbs if you want! but the current carb on the 06+ are a superior carb compared to the 05, and any other carb...

Sorry i have an 05,06,08 carb.Thats why i was asking if anyone else did this mod.

You will like it. The only problem is getting the air boot on the carb. You will need to heat it to get it on.

Ok let me give this a shot ... if it works i will be selling the 06 carb. Is there any tricks besides the airbox that i should know about? All the plugs and stuff are the same and will function properly?

I am thinking that you will have to cut the plugs off of your 08 and put the 08 plugs on the 05 carb. I am pretty sure they are different connecting plugs. Ask D3trix he just put an 07 on his 04 or 05 i believe and it will just be the opposite of what he did.
