250x/300ex steering stem

anyone ever put a 400ex, 250r, 450r steering stem on a 300ex 250x?? if so list some info oir kinds of stms that will work

The 400ex will bolt up but the steering stops are on the wrong side and need to be cut off and welded on the oppostie side. It will shorten the amount of throw need to turn also.
