2003 KFX spark problems

I have heard that with a 2003 kfx/ltz the spark plug is vulnerable to water and if it gets hit with water the wngine just dies. Do you guys know of a remedy for this? I go through a lot of water and this is of some concern to me. Thanks.

well it sounds like theirs a short somewhere and its ground out on the frame.

never been a problem for me. and i have been through some deep water. in my 5 years with this quad never had it happen. make sure your boot is on tight and the spark plug is tightened properly and there should never be a problem. i have seen them suck water in through the intake though. and it does do some damage.

and stay out of water deeper than the engine. they are not utes. they weren't made for deep water crossing.
