I measured brandon's rear width on his new 70 and it measured
41'' wide with drr pro wheel's and 18" sno-hog's. I would like
to add an inch to each side with metal spacer. this will make the
rear 43" and the front will be 44" Anyone know a company
that makes spacer's for drr??

The rear bolt pattern is the same for all the minis. It's the fronts that are different. I can't tell you off the top of my head who has them but I think you should be able to get them from almost anywhere. Send a couple of PM's to the guys on here and see what they have.

rear wheel boltpattern is the same as any honda sport quad (400ex,450r, ect.) so they are very easy to find.

you can also change to the race axle which is adjustable up to 43" wide with snowhogs and pro wheels, the spacers will add extra leverage to the stock axle and could cause it bend easier than normal, The spacers are the cheapest option , but if you are MX racing keep an eye on that stock axle.

I already spoke to gary fallon about an axle which he said would
be better than spacer's.. But we are only adding an inch to each
side to handle better in the turn's. I have had spacer's on my 400
since I have had it with no problems so I'm sure Brandon's will
be fine and when he really starts air out some jumps we will
take up gary on one of those race axle's..

Just keep in mind that the 400 rear axle is going to be a lot stronger than the DRR axle. I know there is a weight difference, but the DRR axle is not very strong IMO. I have a 50 and a 70 and both axles are tweaked and my son by no means is a huge air kinda kid...

Brandons stock axle on his 50 is fine which he has been racing for a year and a half with no problem's..Do you run spacer's on your son's 70 ,,or did he tweek his axle at the stock lengh.. and what does IMO mean??

ok so you guy's changed a stubborn man's mind - no spacer's-
that's the great thing about this forum is that you can learn
from other dad's that have been down that road before..

The thing that really changed my mind is thinking of brandon
getting a dnf. we have not had one yet and I don't want to be the reason why...

Good for you... We have been running them stock length and bending them. He does tend to air it out a little but I am sure your boy will be there soon with it being his second year. Both of his bikes would have the RPM axle if I wouldnt have just spent $2,500 on a new front end, stem, gears, and aftermarket swing arm. They will soon though! :D

OMG.... people around D5 have been using wheel spacers for ever and the poly fibers have yet to break.... My son is 70 pounds and airs his quads like some 90 riders at 6 years old and we never ever bent an axle ... The only DNFs we ever got was/// no gas ...my fault ... and broken drive gears on his 70 only... never on his 50.... dura blue axles have lifetime warranties and I always wanted to buy one but never needed it.... We have run for 2 years now using spacers with no problems... and Ive seen others running them to on 90s ...... breaking the front knuckle clean off but no bent axles... remember there's more than one opionion but yours is the only one that counts....make the best decision you can ...dura blues run over 425.00 thats alot of cash for 2 inches.... my wife would say go for it>>>LOLOLOL

I have got a couple of bent axles in the shop , they make great door stops . Durablue axles are good but the RPM axles has a better warranty and will NOT cost you near 425$ Jim, you will be happy with your choice , in the long run.

Hey Marc if I were looking for a rpm dom II for under 425 can ya get me one... I looked at several sites/ I found another axle lonestar as well ... is the domII still adjustable if so even though its lifetimed how does work for mx over the comp... is one easier to install ....any info is great..

I believe installation will be same on all axles , and we are a Durablue dealer as well as RPM and Lonestar, so I feel they are all good products , but we choose to MX race with RPM and its warranty is the BEST I have ever seen. The adjustable width is just an added benefit that comes in handy as youth skills develop. Quad1rider, SENT YOU A PM about pricing.

Marc , ill check out the pricing you sent , I see the lonestar is adjustable as well ....does this require percise measuring and keeping with the adjustmant issue once adjusted is there any possible issue of working loose...I mean basically are they split lock or double nut lock... it seems questionable to someone who has never run one but been around adjustable issues like bikecycle handle bars and seats... always readjusting...!!!:(
