i have an 08 honda 450r and i am buying a walsh frontend and was wondering why everyone says to run 04 - 05 spindles??? i know cause of cornering but i am not a pro rider and will i notice the difference??? i hear that u have to change the hubs with the spindles and possibly the calipers is this true??? it seems like alot of money to change and is it worth it im confused im coming off of a laeger 250r so the 450r is new to me any help would be appreciated thanks

you do pretty much have to use the 04 05 spindles and hubs...... for the walsh--- those a arms are made to width for the 04 05 spindles and hubs... not the 06 08 system...... u coulda ordered other brands specifically for 06-08 such as houser- 06thru 08 spindles and hubs have more offset than 04 05 hubs do--- if you look closely at a 06 hub beside a 05 hub- it is very easy to spot the offset difference..... i run houser long travel specifically for an 06 trx450r so i dont have to change spindles and hubs....

I'm using 04-05 spindles on my 07, and the caliper mounted up fine. I noticed a slight difference in the turning radius after putting them on. This comes in handy for the tight, zig-zagging XC courses. You probably won't notice it as much on a MX track.

If the only benefit is tight steering radius, then just grid a little off of the steering stop. that was one of the 1st mods I did to my 04 when I got it brand new. Make sure you do it evenly to both sides and don't take off too much. You don't want it to over steer. Mine turns really sharp
