Do these really work? Or are these just a waste of money. Looks a little to good to be true.

Thanks in advance.

I am looking to increase my towing ability and increase my gas mileage. Not looking to drag race or anything just the above issues.

Sounds like snake oil to me... Most of the cheap modules on ebay just fool the ECM into thinking the incoming air is cooler than it really is and makes the ECM advance the timing slightly. A cheap resistor will do the same thing. I tried something similar on my wifes monte carlo and never noticed any difference at all. From what I have read the only things that actually work are the programmable tuners like superchips or hypertech power programmer.

Could you expand on these programmers. I have no idea what they are or what they do. I automotive retarded. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Which 450?

I think all they do is fool the ecm to make it think the engine is running cooler so it richens the fuel up. You can do this with a 25 cent resistor from radio shack. Though I dont recommend this because it will screw up other things.
