Hello, I have a new to me 2001 and it has a ticking sound in the motor. I adj. the valves and didn't change the ticking. You can hear it the most when it's idleing, allmost seam's near the front of the motor, but maybe not.
Do these motor's have a "normal" ticking over time or does anyone have any idea's? Thank you...

Most hondas do have a light "ticking" noise. It's totally normal.

This is of course assuming your valves are adjusted correctly.

The cam chain tensior adjusts AUTOMATICALLY. why do you think they call it a "automatic cam chain tensioner"?
