Bolt on flywheel weight?

I'm tearing apart my brother in laws's motor and noticed a weight bolted to the flywheel. It weights almost 14ozs. It threads on and has a few set screws to lock it in place. Anyone else using a setup like this? I would think this would help out on trails and such.

it helps a ton on my bike but on my quad? idk, you'll like it or you wont, i'm guessing

could you take pics of this part? I would love to see what it looks like. Also was there a spacer for the stator cover?

I've got a couple pics if someone wants to post them up for me. There was no spacer, the weight is pretty thin.
