whats up guys. doing a routine valve adjustment on my brother's quad. we forgot to mark the cam chain in relation to the sprocket marks on the cams when the machine is at TDC...doh! now were having trouble getting the timing right.

whats the easiest way to get things back in line? just trial and error or something were missing. i know its something stupid so im not worried lol. thanks!

set the motor at tdc then line the first marks on the intake and exhaust cams straight up and the second marks on the outside . when u have it right the second marks should be parallel with the top of the motor

take both of the little caps off the left side of the motor. Get yourself a 17mm turn the motor to you see this |-| |. Line it up to the single | the |-| is where your spark plug fires. There 2 pin dots on the cams. Exhaust should be left and top and intake will be top and right. Those side lines should line up flush with the top of the head. If you want to retard the timing and get a few hp outa that to. turn the exhaust cam clockwise one tooth from top dead center.
