I'm a credit approval away from one or the other.I really would like some input on what to get,but I have narrowed it down to either a LTR or a MXR.I would like to get some pro/cons from you guys that either own or have ridden either of these,Thanks Mat

i am a proud owner of a ltr and do not know to much info on the polaris:ermm: they seem to be nice and have a decent amount of power, are you looking into the irs or straight axle. i would highly suggest the straight axle if your looking to get into motocross:D go with the ltr:blah:

They are both nice quads.

The Polaris uses the same engine thats found in the KTM450XC, but it does have a few small changes. Nothing major.

The LT-R does have an asset, in it already having wide a-arms and a wider axle.

Pick one. They would both be great quads.

Look at it this way. Caleb Moore is backflipping the 525 and 450 outlaws and Doug Gust has won numerous championships on the LT-R.

wow this one is a thinker, im not sure which id pick you do got the bugs pretty much worked out of the ltr and the wide a arms and you did say mx, and for my riding type on trails i think one can manage, but that ktm motor isnt somethng you can just ignore either, i dont think you could go wrong either way.

They both are very nice and have there pros/cons. What I like about the LTR, if your MX, it's pretty much set up for you and has great power for little $$. But, it's the heaviest 450 and it doesn't have reverse if you want to trail ride. The Outlaw 450 isn't as wide, but not by much, but has great power and very smooth. The Fox shocks are very nice, has reverse and a very large 3.9 gal gas tank for long rides. Con's, it still doesn't have the mods as others do, and the fit and finish isn't quite up to the big 4. Either one will put a smile on your face tho. Plus sit and ride both if you can and get the one your most comfy on, not what we say.

the only prob ive seen with the ltrs it if you get any water in the gas the run like shlt and on the older ones if you do any motor work they dont have enough decompresion and they burn up startes... they may have fixed that now though
