Pre Load??

So I installed this 450r rear shock from Derisi racing last night and put the 450r linkage on and it sits soooooo low it would be unridable. If I fix the preload will I get more height from this thing?

Are you sure there isn't sopposed to be an aftermarket link installed with it?

Are you sure you are supposed to us a 450r linkage? I have never seen it done on a 400ex before

Yeh the linkage hooked up great and everything is fine. I fixed the pre load and now just have to install the shock. I will post pics later of the set up and show a close up of the linkage.

doesnt the 450 rear work with the stock 400 linkage ? ive never done the set up myself so i wouldnt know but i had a friend do it and i thought he just used the stock linkage and it worked perfect and only sat about an inch or 2 lower but maybe he did change it

This is not going to work. I'd go back to the 400EX shock and linkage. Sorry.

Maybe sell the 450R stuff and have the 400ex rear re-done by DeRisi?

it's not that the 400ex linkage won't work it's just I have the derisi racing linkage so i might as well use it I thought.
