I used a razer and cut it about to the same hight as the front fenders where at and it looks factory dont really look modded at all.

wow. that itty bitty lke one inch long thing?? haha, wow, attention to detail!!! i never noticed it, but now that i see what your saying, its never bothered me at all, never even notice it when im standing back "admiring" my wheeler

Like the chop job an rear finders. Have had cut front finders for a few years now, have learn to keep out of the way of tire spray. How much more mud you get on you with your rear cut finders??

well as for more mud i can say a little bit more comes up from when i was riding through the pits after it got done raining but i never took my quad mudding besides if the track was wet..i wouldn't worry about how much mud comes up because if you think it looks good then go for it but i didnt notice too much of a difference tho when i cut mine so i think you should be OK and when you cut them, take your time i never planned on cutting off as much as i did, one side had a little more off so i went to go make them even and then screwed that side up and then i kept taking more and more off and then i said screw it and left it how they are now

What year is your bike?? It turned out pretty tight. Been wanting to do it for awhile just aint sene what it looks like done. Going to order me sum yellow touch up an get stared. Thanks for the pics

Cool, it seems the factory and you are thinking alike.. imagine my 08 without the heel guards and look at the lower line of the rear fenders...

i started out by cutting an inch of all the way around to start.i hated that ear.

Mine aren't cut too radically but I like the subtle difference it makes. I used a Rotozip to cut them.

Hey thanks man, you did a pretty good job on that fender cut on yours. With those 450r heel guards, it looks like it came that way from the factory...pretty seamless :cool:

NacsMXer.......I love your quad. I always had a soft spot for the older EX and the fact that you kept the stock headlight with the rest of your set-up, I love it......

Thanks man, I feel the same way :D

I remember the days when everyone was putting race cut fenders and Quad Tech hoods on their EX's. I was tempted to go that route but couldn't bring myself to chop off the old frog eyes :p

I bought my quad brand new bone stock and it has evolved a lot over the years. I love the fact that it still has the old headlights....it's sort of a throwback, a respect thing for that quad that used to be a stock 2000 EX. You could call it keepin' it real :blah: I wouldn't change a thing about it.

edit..Just for fun here's an OLD picture of my quad about a year after I got it. Maybe has some bars, filter, slip-on pipe, front radials and some shock covers...all of which are now gone. Hard to believe its the same quad

you guys are making me feel bad lol.. my brother and i both ditched the stock frog eyes.. mine were broken though.

I used a jig saw with a fine toothed metal blade. Heres a picture of my rear fenders. I took the picture before I got my Pro Armors so excuse those red nets.
