Her son is in the Air Force stationed in Texas. He came in for a vacation so we figured this was a good way to spend it...

Which 450?

This would have been the parking lot at Indian Ridge. We stayed in Pineville though at the Executive Inn. Very nice place to stay. Great food in the hotel restaurant.

This is her new ride...a 2008 450r. She rode it all three days at Hatfield except for about 2 hrs that I got to ride it. I wanted her to try out her old 400ex with 2005 450r hubs, spindles, and brakes. It turns on a dime. She still preferred the power of her new bike though.

No need to delete the pic for not having a helmet. The wheels aren't in motion. This is when I got home from a 9 hr round trip to pick it up in Winchester, VA.

We have to get back to CAW. We had a bad experience there...we only rode for 1.5 hrs after a 3.5 hr drive each way. It was a crappy day. The dust was unbearable and the track was in the worst condition I've ever seen. There wasn't a drop of water to be found in the creek/river either.

I saw on the website that the track is being rebuilt...hopefully with sprinklers or they got a water truck.

It has just been a bad year in NC due to the drought. I am sure we will enjoy it more this time.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Of course, this thread pretty much backfired on me. My wife found out about it, read all the comments, and now agrees with everyone that I am lucky and now I seem to owe her. ;)

I do realize how lucky I am to have some who enjoys a sport as much as me. She will be a bit happier when my body gives out on mx though.

My mom turned 73 on February 13th. We finally decided she no longer has to go on any rollercoaster she doesn't want to ride. She has been on everything at Universal, Busch Gardens Tampa, Kennywood, and Sea World Orlando. We used to think my dad made her get on everything. He died 5 years ago and she was still riding them. It bearly took a nudge to get her on a ride.

Connie's son is finally realizing that not all mom's are like his.
