get it. you won't be dissapointed, i went from a yamaha warrior to a 450r with no problems. its a great overall quad to get, easy to handle, and fairly comfortable compared to the other 450's.

i think its a big jump but if your running the 250r dirtbike im pretty sure you can handle the 450r quad. nice bike, fun and fast. need to make minor adjustments to make it run trails better but i say get one, but like we tell everyone else. its your choice.

The Warrior to the 450r, compared to the 250ex to the 450r is not close to the same thing. My buddy has a 06'or 07' 250ex and it is the slowest, weakest, narrowest, and worst thing i've ever rode. Ride a 400ex and a 450r to see what suits you best for the riding you want to do.

I ride a crf250r (motorcross bike) most of the time i only use the 250ex for rideing on my 18 acres of land where a 400ex or 450r is to wide. but now i want to try going to tracks with a quad and dirt bike

go for it if you can ride a crf250r you wont have a problem with a 450r. just take your time and dont do anything you dont feel comfortable with

i rode a 400ex with slip on and i was fine on it. i ultimatly want a 450 so instead of getting a 400 and 450 id rater just a 450 and it would be cheaper

I just purchased my 450R last week and there is a night and day difference between the 400Ex and 450R. The 400EX is great for riding slow trails, general riding around, and has plenty of getup for more spirited riding. The 450R is a monster in terms of raw power in stock form compared to the 400EX. The 450R begs to be ran hard/fast, and doesn't really handle running at lower rpm's as the 400Ex does. The 450R is the first fourwheeler I've ever rode that can spin the tires loose in any gear with a flick of the thumb lol.

I love mine, and wouldn't trade it for all the 400Ex's in the world. From the suspension to even the smallest detail it's amazing.

But like the others have said, it ultimately depends on you, and what you intend to do with it. It's more fourwheeler than I'll ever need, but I knew that going in.

I say go for it especially if its gonna be for track riding you will love the 450, the only thing i will say is you will be in for a surprise if your used to a Race bike. You can go to the dealer and buy a bike on saturday morning and go be competitive in a race that night, you cant do that as easily on a quad if your plannin on being competitive with it on a track its gonna need a little work.
