They're actually clamps that make the rezzie's piggyback style. This was a "experimental design" you could say that led to the new true piggyback PB1s. PEP offers it as an option along with the remote styles.

I thought they looked like clamps. Do you think they would fit my elkas or know of a company that makes some that would fit. I need to move my rezies so i can put a steering damper on.

I don't know if they will work with the Elka rezzies, the PEP big bottles have a pretty big diameter. Maybe if you put some type of sleeve inside the clamp to take up the difference. You also need shorty hoses or you're gonna have a ton of slack hanging out.

On my old remote rezzy setup I mounted the rezzies on my front frame tubes along with a Denton stick stabilizer. The clamp for the stabilizer clamps at the bottom of the frame tube, so I just moved the rezzies higher up on the tubes to solve that problem.

This pic explains what i'm talking about...you can't run your Elka cans the same way? Or does your stabilizer mount a little different?

Cool, that has to be fun!! What brand front swaybar are you using and do you like it?

skyeryder
02-18-2008, 11:37 AM
It's a Power Ground Racing sway bar they are usually selling them on Ebay it works really good havn't had an issue with it yet. I believe I bought it for about $150 less than a Rath. Flat track is a blast, plus my family can see all the action where when I race XC they see ya for a few seconds at a time.

It may work that way. I dunno yet because my stabilizer hasnt gotten here yet. The main reason for wanting the clamps is for when I get ready to mount another oil cooler.

The width of my machine is 48" with the offset rims. The Works shocks are better than 450R shocks, and yeah I'm a great rider.

I race in an open C class. Im saving up for better shocks and wider a-arms/axle.

I refuse to beleive XXX165exrider or w/e the hell his name is, races B class on a stock width machine. I dont see him being very competitive is he does.

I see some quads running with air scoops, some without. I am assuming that the main purpose of the air scoops is to direct more air flow towards the engine to aid in cooling. However,

1) Do they serve any other purpose?

2) How come some run with them, some run without? I understand that people live in different locations and temperatures, but looking at where people live, there seems to be no rhyme or reason, is it just preference?

Thanks all.

I'll post a random photo of a hot chick as thanks for your intelligent answers in advance. :D

the scoops are supposed to direct air to the oil cooler/engine.

they don't do much seeing as your not flying every where you go its more of a "looks" add on.
