just like the question asks, would adjusting valves on my R be easy? you see around every spring-ish we get all the machines out quads, bikes, mowers, ect. and spend a day maintaining them like change the oil and sparkplugs mainly and i was at a friends house tellin her that and to come and join us or whatever and some dude was there and said that i should adjust the valves and said it was super easy and i quote "on the hondas you take the side cover off and turn something with a screwdriver till something else lines up" so is this true? i kinda doubt it but if so would anyone hapen to have a pic of what it is im turning and lining up? and tomorrow ive had it 3 yrs. and its been well takin care of so would it need it anyway?

thanks

The "turning something on the side, and lining something else up" he was probably referring to putting the piston at top-dead-center. Which is what you have to do when measuring your valve clearances.

Heres a guild that another member of this forum made for adjusting valves.
Should cover you pretty good.
