Looking to get a 310 jug for my stock bottom end 250, and some advice is needed.

These are the two: krankit310 vs Niks Pro X 310

What is ya'lls preference and what are the differences between the two if any? I do mostly trail/track riding.

Thanks

well, they both use the Pro-X jug, its just the difference in each companies porting. talk to both, and see what they offer, what they can do for you. Or, just order a 310 pro-x top end unported, and then send it to C-liegh, he can do a great job making the power you want.

a pro-x jug is a aftermarket cylinder, it has better cooling, and better port design than a oem 250R cylinder. you can get them in different cc sizes, (310, 330, 350,) and on the later models, have interchangable domes in the head so you can change compression. I remember Krank it racing used to do Joe Byrd's motors when he was on a 250R. I havent seen much of them lately. Provide us with more info on the two cylinders your looking at, and we can help ya more.

it would def, be a big improvement over your stock top end. Make sure you have a good midrange exhaust,(since the jug is ported for MX) and get rid of the stock carb, go with a 38mm air stryker, and that will wake her right up.
