This is the result of 250r OEM fenders on a 400ex frame. I used the ex sub frame, seat and gas tank. used Very simple hardware to do this mod and a little cutting and bolting.

What do you guys think?
In these pics I only have the engine sitting on the frame. the honda dealer ordered the wrong rings and I just got them installed and trying to get it in time. still have some cleaning and what not but she's almost done.

I LOVE IT

BTW if a moderator would like for me to make a sticky post and list pictures and all the mods involved i would be very happy to do so.
;)

well it's real easy although i did it the hard way and sliced my finger with a utility knive. i suggest using a power saw to cut the plastics...and do it safely!

you have to cut virtually all of the plastic that would be under your seat. it all has to go. leave 3small tabs on each side sticking out about 2 inches long and atleast an inch wide to put screws into to hold the seat. I can post pics if you need them
on the raised lip around where your seat fits, make sure to leave atleast 1/2 in but no more than 3/4in on the inside of that to give it a good appearance once the seat is mounted and to give it extra stability. any questions? other mods include relocating the battery in the stock breather box. you have to cut the notch out on the inside of the box to get your battery all the way down and in the back. get a longer ground wire. used 3in wide u bolts to mount the fron plastics and straight metal brackets witha hole at each end to mount the rear of the front plastics to the fram where the front and rear fenders meet. you also have to move your rear brake res to the angled frame rail on the sub frame
these are all small things that are very easily accomplished

i didn't put as much fore thought into this as i should have because i didn't do the little tabs but after doing this the tabs are a great idea although this will hold up nicely. 2 in the back couple screws on the side and 2 on each side in the very front. i still have some smoothing and trimming and a few more screws to add. here is one pic...more coming

well damon thats why it's my quad and not yours. atleast i have something semi original. when someone ask what everyone thinks they usually want positive or atleast good ole constructive critisizm instead of "i don't like it". you could have said it ****in sucked....it would have been the same difference. thanks for posting though

well...no one else on here has the motor and what not painted like i do with "white" OEM 250r fenders mounted the way i do. I think that classifies as original. Don't you? semi oringinal - something that has been done before but customized to my taste and liking, not like everyone elses.

damon#6 you got owned! by 400thacker lol....but hes right that's not a good way to present your self here, it will get you a bad rep like some other jack asses on here already have, and theirs very few but its not tolerated by the members of this site nor by the administration.
(RULE #1. If you don't like someone, make believe you do or don't respond. Personal attacks will not be tolerated)
