Help 250r Oil

Hey guys!

Ok here is my situation. I borrowed a buddys 86 250r. Its been sitting for a while and leaking oil.

I want to change out the oil.

How much oil does this take?
Where do I measure the level?
Is the drain plug at the bottom of the engine?

drain plug yes
oil level theres a screw below the oil cap , your ok when it comes out there.

oil? many possibilites, but safe is to use belray 2 stroke gear oil or belray gear oil 85 wt:) :cool: :cool:

I think its something like 0.7 Liters capacity. I use Honda HP transmission fluid and no regrets.

I use bel ray gear saver 85-90w and it works great, it takes .750 ml or 3/4's of a quart.

most brands are good. just be sure to change it often. Most people only put a few rides on their R's before changing it.
