Kevin Windham is working on his MX track in Centreville, MS.

A new track just opened in Kentwood, the old one sucked, I dont know anything bout the new one.

The old track in krotz springs, I heard it went to crap.

There was a cool track in Amite La, Rajun Cajun Mx, but I think the guy gave up on it, it rocked.

Hey 416ex, thanks for the info. Im thinking about going to New Iberia tommorrow, or maybe even Breaux Bridge. Me and my fiance are going to the Audobon Zoo today, but tommorrow is ride day.

I heard the same thing, the new Kentwood track rocks.

Is the Larose track, the Avondale track you are talking about just off of hwy 90? I saw a flyer they put out a while back that said "no quads". Has that change? Any more info?

there is like two or so, high rollers and rolling thunder i belive one of those is at fernwood cant remember which one and one can be seen from the highway:D

That is about 5 minutes away from my house. That guy had 1 race there then the town complained about noise ordinace.

My 300 is over at my grandparents in Gulfport, I haven't brought it over here yet. I thought they weren't letting people ride Thompson Creek anymore. Who all do you ride with?

They dont let people ride? Ha, Ha, there is not much "they" can do about me when Im aboard a highly modified high performance sand monster machine! Actually, I have a friend that is a big landowner on the creek, I ride with him, if Im with him, no one says anything, his father is rich in money and political pull.

Yeah, they are, north of the Jackson Bridge, thats Mr. John Thompson stirring up all the trouble...........they will never catch me! A yz426 quad.

Thats a big negative..........I know plenty of people that know John, and I have met him a couple of times...........he HATES quads..........I heard someone mooned his pretty wife while she was laying out, and that is what started this all........all long as you stay south of the Jackson HWY 10 bridge, you dont have to worry abou him. Besides, my friend owns 2 gravel pits on the creek anyway.

anyone around here near moss bluff/lake charles, word is that kershaw's tabaco is openin a flat track in the bluff i am gona go talk to them about puttin some fmx ramps up, i'll tell yall if they do make the track or not

No, both pits are south of the Jackson Bridge. I know the creek from Centreville Ms, to the hwy 61 bridge........its a 27 mile ride.

Mxbubs : Yes things has changed at Avondale, different owners and quads are allowed. The track in Larose is suited for minis 50 to 80's

Big race in Breaux Bridge on 12-28 12-29 Southern Motocross Championship. Quads run Sunday, classes Quad amateur, Quad Expert/Pro

Did you go to Breaux Bridge yesterday? I personally don't MX getting to old and to have work on Mondays. But try to make as many races as I can with my son. Look us up at the track, black F150 flare side 4x4 with black trailer, Ty Rogers Racing on trailer. Enjoy meeting new ppl

there's a track on the other side of monroe louisiana called
"bad to the bone mx"
i rode over there one day just to check it out..
(in a car, not on a quad) it looks ok, kinda small. but looks to kept in pretty good shape. i think they race on saterday's. there's another guy on this forum that goes over there. he told me about it.
check out this link for other riding area's..if you know of other place's (for sure places) send him an e-mail with direction's and riding conditions, so he can post them on the site.
also check out the morango swamp ride. for june...2000+ bike's of ever make and model....thats a good ride to make if you can get over there....everything from 4x4 mud bogs to race's and poker runs...

Ill have to check out Avondale, its right down the rode from Morgan City. Ive seen it a few times from the road, but never stopped. I didnt go to Breaux Bridge, I went to New Iberia yesterday and praticed and broke a rear hub off. I havent rode much in the last 10 months, Im trying to get back into shape for racing.

I got a chance to ride at avondale and that track is just nasty! It's more like a supercross than anything else, but its very well kept up. They practice tuesdays and thursdays from 4 to 10 and sundays, but I forgot the times. If you can clear the triple here you can ride anywhere.
There is also a track in hammond that allows quads. The new track in kentwood is very skeptic about quads, you have to call in advanced and kinda state your case. Mr. Lynn Lejune told me that the ruts from the quads make it too hard for the kids on dirt bikes to ride or some bull like that, but he told me that they are planning an all quad event soon so get in touch with him. Ill post his number later. The kentwood track is the best ive seen.
