CRACKED CASE! quick fix??

i was riding the other day with my chain obviously too loose and it popped off the rear sprocket and wound around the front sprocket cracking the case. oil is slowly but steadily leaking from it and i dont know if there is a way to fix it or if i should just buy a new one...let me know what you think...

The proper way to fix it is to buy a new case. but if money is tight or ur in a pinch, a dab of JB weld should seal up the leak, just be careful not to get into any of the internals.

depending were the crack is JB will work ,dont just spread it on the surface it would be best to make a small grove and then apply
on a rough surface giving the JB some thing to hold on to.
there are different types of JB , fast set ,slow set ,a putty type. its all good but it does have its limits

Also any deacent machine shop should beable to weld it back up for you propely with it still on the bike.
