I will probably be down there that weekend or the next.

As to what to expect: (i assume you mean LS Oklahoma)

Dune entrance fee is $7.00 per rider/per day
Camping is anywhere from $8 (tent site) to $30 per night for full elect/water
They have food vendors down there near the little sahara powersports (burgers hotdogs, cokes reasonably priced)
There are also convience stores in town (4 miles away)
No special license needed
working headlights and tailights are needed to enter the dunes at night
no db limit
You need an orange flag that extends to 10ft tall to enter the dunes (they sell them at the powersports place for $28 for the good ones)
Use low gears on the campground road
dont drink and ride

The weather is a hard thing to predict in our neck of the woods. Usually it will be highs in the 70's and lows in the 40's, however i have seen 6 inches of snow in mid may.

damn, so i need to keep a close eye on the weather, wichever place has nicer weather for the weekend, thats where im going silver lake MI or ls OK, and i cant find a 10ft. flag i found so 5 ft. but my quad is only about 4 ft. high i'd say thats only 9 foot .

It will be the biggest event of the year at Little Sahara. Its there anual Snake Hunt. It is always the first weekend after easter.

The "actual" snake hunt happens in town, but the park will easily have 20,000 people. Its busy, and finding a camping spot will be hard., but thats when people will have out the 20k banshees and 75k sand cars. Definetly a lot of nice stuff down there, and a lot of parties.

If your old like me and dont party much anymore, then you might want to look into the camping in town , or th enorth campgroun

My flags are 6ft. I got them from Don, who runs the littel sahara powersports place down there. you can a cheapy for like 12 bucks i think, or the ones with a spring and a lifetime guarantee for $28

Who knows about the weather, i have plans made to make 2 trips in march, and i will go rain or shine. I actually prefer to ride after a thunderstorm. It erases most of the tracks and makes for a great couple of hours of riding on "glass" until other people catch on and track it up again

We made our first trip out there last Oct. It was really nice and wasn't real crowded. Your going during snake hunt so I would think finding a camping spot would be hard.

As for the weather. Definately take Ok over Mich in March.

I bought our flags when we got there and I paid $17.00 a piece and they come with a life time warranty (what ever that means)

We camped in the south campground with electric and water it was $15.00 a day.

i bought the biggest one i could find and after mounting it last nite, 7' 7" on the quad, are they strict i mean thats still tall right, 10 feet is way up there, o yeah, i got a bunch of 20K + banshees out here in the boondocks with me, but they travel drag with them.

when you enter the dunes you must pass through a gate that has a guard shack. If your flag doesn't reach the bar on top of the gate they will not let you enter.

The best thing to do is wait until you get there and buy them.

do you have to have flags on dirt bikes also and what about little quads like my sons 90 for it to be 10 ft tall id have to get an 8ft flag

It doesn't matter if you take a wheel chair out on the dunes you have to have a flag that hits the 10 ft. bar. Mine barely hits it but they still let me past. You can buy flags at the park with lifetime warranty for $30.
