pro-x head on stock jug?

Why won't a pro-x head work on a stock jug? Or will it? I've always read it won't, I found a great deal on a pro-cross head for a big bore pro-x jug and have a stock jug with a big bore kit. Any ideas, can the pro-x head be modified or do I just have to find a stock jug cool head?

the cylinder is bigger and the studs are in different places so your gonna have to find a cool head. but if you dont mind i have a pro-x cylinder and im looking for a head.

ESR has one of their complete heads that will fit the stock 250R jug. Can get it in anodized blue, red, black or polished.
