getting a new quad soon

I have been planning on getting a new quad. i have a things, though:
1. I have been planning on buying a 400ex as soon as i sell my 2001 warrior. should i buy used, or should i go new(buying from Southern Honda, new is $4000)
2. Is there another bike that i should look into getting, any other suggestions?
3. What do you think my 2001 warrior is really worth? It is near stock, with k&n filter, nerf bars, skid plates, fly bars, dynojet kit, and cobra pipe. Kelly Blue books says Suggested retail is $2360, and trade in value is $1580. I have a book called The Black Book, that says average retail is $2125.

I'd say probably 2k for the warrier depending on how clean it is. New is always better. No one ever beated on it.

ive seen some great deals on this site on 400's. Ranging from 1000-2500 for really neat bikes. ALso you could look into dirtbikes their little cheaper then quads {most of the time} and are lots of fun. If I was you I would buy an older 400 for like $1500 and have some spare money left if you sell the warrior

i have seen some good deals, but most of them are to far away. and not interested in a dirtbike.

for 4g you might be able to find a used 450 if you really search... maybe, maybe not. sorta just depends on the condition of the bike and if you want a 450

i was thinking about that. i wouldnt mind getting a 450. the problem i have found is finding a stock one. all the ones i have seen for sale are totally done out, and they want 8 grand for it.

I sold my 05 for 3,000 and i seen 04's go for $2700 theres some cheap 450's on the east side

check out the threads here on the site, i found quite a few 450's for pretty good price. I saw a nice yfz with shocks and everything for like 4200 i think, and it was OBO

thanks for the help guys, but to buy anything about 4 grand, i need to sell the warrior. i have the cash to buy a used 400 if it priced right.
