Dude, I bet your carb looks like sh^%; is that a pantyhose around the filter? Also, I don't know if the stock box can hold that much weight?

Wow! All I can say is atleast your trying. You can always make it a little strong when it breaks, next week.

The UnderWears remark was Priceless! :D

Hey man at least your trying but your probably spent 10$ in quick steel. If you were going to rig the air box like that, i would of at least cleaned it first so it stuck.

Some things are just better left untouched

Should have bought an aluminum airbox, and stuff tends to work better when the work surface is cleaned.

If you wanna do something nice polish ur pipe.

two good things there
the pipe and jets(if jetted rite)

and underwears on the filter (works just as good as outerwears but is a fraction of the cost)

clean'r up

Ok listen. I just put the pantyhose on quick (dont ask me why..) and I ordered the Outerwares and it should be here any day. Also, I know I still have to strengthin the airbox. I am not as think as you stupid I am!! lol. Also with the quick steel. I cleaned down the areas I had to, I sanded it down, and roughend it up. I have not been riding with it as is because I know once I do, I'd be screwed! See, I am not that stupid.

ALSO, I AM NOT CALLING THE PANTYHOSE OUTERWARES!!!!

But that's exactly what you did:ermm:

IMO there's nothing wrong with using 'hose for a prefilter;)

looks like you ride in real dusty conditions. you can do like i did if you have a stock filter laying around not being used.

i cut the yellow outer foam layer off with a razor knife and oiled it up with klotz foam filter oil and pulled it over the K&N. it makes a great prefilter for extreme dust.

How would an K&N flow better if it had than stock, if it had the stock filter on top of it, assuming that the box and lid setup was the same?

....or how about instead of cutting up a filter that actually works put it on instead of the k&n

it doesn't make sense to have a filter for your filter :o

hahah exactly. ive never liked the K&N. they're to risky for me. ive always been a fan of the foam filters such as twin air, uni filter, etc. question about the "pantyhose". does it actually work ? it'd be an easy way to keep the filter cleaner.
