This is Columbia coatings TRANSLUCENT CANDY GOLD over SILVER BASECOAT and black is just flat/stealth black

switched to 05 oem black rear plastic-- have new tank tray ordered so i dont have to zip ty plastic in front,,, quad tech hump seat..... and those super light fox floats!!!!!! lmao...

Damn that looks really cool! Why didnt you do black nerfs/front bumper/rear grab bar???? Amazing most of the parts on your 450R i have on mine to the T. Im just waiting on my houser LT a arms and Fox Float Evols as well. Fox told me id see them around the 22nd. I sure hope so!!!

Also What size brake line clamps did you use for the front? 3/4 or 1 inch?

Thanks for all compliments guys!!! - i had originally planned on doing flat black bumper grab bar and nerf bars,, but decided to leave them brushed so i could keep them looking new all year without repowderring them... kinda why i went with flat black on all redone powdered parts- thought it would look better than gloss black after the first time i rode it:D

I am now too waiting on my fox's .... honda shop told me two weeks.... i just hope they are here by march 1st!!!!

Brake line clamps i ordered through jen at houser- just told her i wanted clamps to fit my housers--- i bolted all plastic on night before last and applied graphics -- will have pics up soon...

(and yeah i def need to wash them tires! lol)

just wanted to do gold because i havent seen one similar and i love the columbia TGIC gold!!

Yeah the gold looks alot better than i would have ever thought. I got my long travel housers yesterday and put em on. All im waiting for now is my fox shox. still got at least one more week wait. I wanna ride my R and get it all setup so bad. lol My Rath nerfs/bumper/grabbar are all flat black. Ive had them on for at least 8 months now and its all holding up great. I actually have more knicks and chips from dropping tools on em than actual riding lol. The powder coating they use is really tough stuff. Or at least the batch i got is.

At the begining of this thread I thought you were building a retro 250R looking quad with all the gold. Pretty original idea, looks good. Best part is even if you loose you still bring home the gold.

You actually will be supprised at the durablility of the powder coating. I have a front bumper with 2 race seasons on it that is gloss black and still in great shape.

You nailed that right on the head---- i wanted to do a gold similar to the gold on the old 250rs that i saw when i was young-- (and it dont hurt to always bring home gold either!!!)

recieved my lo pro white hood from quadtech and black silver hump seat...... (spare) and i will have my precision stabilizer from rocky mountain atv on monday!!!!!!!!!!! and thanks to jb500ex i have a new radiator on the way also
