Has anyone tried jetting an 08 DRX 50 WC with the 16mm Sun carb to run a Uni filter with the stock snork tube? Is there any real performance advantage to loosing the tube versus having it out of harms way? If so what jet sizes do you recomend in the Florida area? Would I be best to go with a20-21 Keihin with a filter change instead. Any info is appreciated since I am new to this.

the carb should have a 105 main from the factory , this should be good for your area, with the snorkel; the 20 Kehin will be a little better , however may not be legal for some racing rules. IMO swapping to a uni filter and outerwares directly to carb is best and easier to tune and service. changing pilot on sunworld is a big help too.

105 Main jet is fine....

Move the needle to it's richest position

Put the Uni (4152) right on the carb and adjust your air screw and you will be fine.

The leader in the SSQSA series runs a 16mm Sunworld and my son finished 2nd last week with his Sunworld 16mm carb

Tune the CVT and you will see the best results

Is the 105 main jet what should be in there now?

Yes , if it has not been changed it should be a 105

Thanks. How many adjustments are on that carb and which is which? I am admittedly not a carb expert.

air screw, needle , pilot jet, and main jet and of course idle screw.
if you do not feel comfortable messing with your carb we can set it up and you can just bolt it on and ride. If you would like to make your own adjustments I would recommend speaking with someone on the phone , it will be hard to write and describe in detail , all the curcuits and symptoms for tuning in a forum such as this.
