I know it used to be as simple as going to a website in the iphone browser. I havent followed this stuff to much as you will never see me owning an iphone but for those interested this is pretty recent.

whats that even do? I understand it "unlocks" them but whats that for?

So you can use it for other networks then just AT&T

^^^understand that it unlocks them for the same type of network. I believe At&T use TDMA networks (Alltel & Tmobile i believe). This will not allow it to be used on CDMA networks (Sprint and Verizon).

my old iphone was hacked when i was on 1.0.1. What firmware does your phone have cause depending on that i could do it for you. If you unlock you phone you can use other networks such as t-mobile. If you want it just hacked that means you want to keep att but want to add applications to use such as games and other stuff. If your looking to hack it you might want to wait till the end of feb. cause there supposed to have an update that will allow you to download 3rd party applications(games, programs, etc...).
