the z head already flows very well. the best bet is to upgrade other areas such as carb, cams, exhaust.
the head p&p should be done by someone who knows these heads. you can actually lose power if not done correctly. this is not a job for a buddy who can p & p.

the head can be upgraded with kibblewhite valves and springs. but unless it is an extreme motor, leave it alone.

its hard for me to say exactly what p&p did for me as i did a number of things at the same time. cams ,piston(12.5) air filter and intake. all with a stock 05 carb which gave me 40.12 hp on what i would call a stingy dyno, but i know the p&p is in there some were.

well im just looking for something to get me a little more power. and I am doing cams as well most likely, I was thinking bout doing p&p along with a high comp piston..

your going to find that most of the mods that you are wanting to
do complement one another, doing any of them with out the right pipe is futile ,going to a bigger bore and not giving it a bigger carb is holding you back.
there a number of bolt on hp things that will work ,a better air filter ,a better intake boot, cams ,bigger carb, dynatek cdi. all of these do nothing with out the right pipe.
