well im going to some dunes in 2 weeks and need some info on paddles... i have a set of 6 paddle straight blades used on a 300ex but now im on a 400ex with more power...my question is will the 6 paddles push my 400ex? or is it time for me to get some 8 paddle tires?

6 paddles should push it just fine. i would also recomend, if money isn't an issue, to invest in some "V" paddles. they will allow you to carve the dunes much better than the straight paddles. if you plan on doning more drag racing, straight paddles are the way to go.

you did not say which 6 paddle you have ,nor did you state the size .
i run 20 X 10 X 8 w/ 6 paddles skat extreams and i like drag racing and the sand i run on is all ways wet . with the power i have 2nd grear starts gets me out of the hole extreamly fast .
try what you have first ,any tire will get you around but the one you have is most likely made for you quad .

the tires are gliders and they are made for 350cc and under quads... i got money to spend i just don't want to go over $120....i don't do much dragging since every thing out there is 450s now so ill just be doing every thing...

call Fullerton's and see what they tell you . it would be my bet that there going to say some thing in a 6 paddle.

I would definetly stay with 6 paddles. I have 8 paddle haulers on my 400ex, and it seems to be just a little to much

at la dunes the sand is different from other places. the 6 glider will probably spin alot (sand there is rutted and very loose) try 2nd gear launches. if you are on a budget the kings turbo paddles work very well for the price on a 400. i think they were like 179 tires and rims. i have a set i use as spares.

6-paddle gliders will work ok for now.

The 400ex (depending on the sand type), generally likes an 8 paddle glider, or 6 paddle hauler.

what about a 7 paddle hauler?

6 paddle gliders will work but it's not enough. Go with a 6 paddle hauler or some 8 or 9 paddle gliders. I run a 6 paddle on my YFZ as well. Just because you have more power doesn't mean you need more paddle. This subject can get very in depth but for your question it's not required. :p Get some 6 paddle haulers.

BTW- Don't get a V paddle. They're garbage. You can "carve" dunes better with a straight paddle as long as you know how to ride. V paddle's are trash... period.

i have a 400ex and i run 8 blade 21 inch sand geckos. best tire ever for all around duning. if u want something that can drag and curve this is what u want.
