I need to go up in size on my pilot jet on my 400, I have one that looks the one I took out but is about 1/8 of an inch longer at the end with the screwdriver slot in it, will this work.

It should work. Check and see if it has series 21 written on it to be sure:D

I don't see series 21 written on it or the original I took out.

The new one is longer than the one that is in it.

There are two differant types of pilot jets for the keihin. Take the stock pilot up to your local shop and they can make sure you get the right one. On the pilot jets where are the threads? One type of pilot has the threads on the fat part towards the top of the pilot and the other type of pilot has the threads down near the botom of the jet.

Most likely you have the right one, I went and bought a bunch of different sized pilot jets for my EX and they were all longer than the stock one ;)

The length of the jet does not make a difference, what matters is the size of the hole or number. It will not have 21 or 22 wrote on it, just the jet size. The ones from Honda at short, the aftermarket ones are longer.

Will the same jets work for the 300ex, if so do you have a 40 main jet you would sell me?
