well i went two storke and bought a 1988 250r and decided to give my 2001 400ex to my wife, but not before a little touching up...

tear down begins... also a 450r and raptor tear down in the pic.

e-brake delete i made at the shop, then powdercoated it black and laser engraved the honda logo and backfiled with red paint..

all this work and it really only cost me $50 in sand and some PB Blaster for the axle locknut, also twenty dollars to remove back tires and re-install them...

just need to get the blingstar bumper and the ac blackline nerf bars and some grips and she will be good to go!!

That is nice! Lucky wife! Why did you powdercoat the swing. skidplate? lol. Here is mine. I was thinking about getting is PC'd and you look like you know what colors would look awsome. What do you that should go where ;)

no doubt i would do that frame yellow with black accents... to me you can take basic colors like black and red and really make something look sharp by just being strategic about where you do your colors... or yellow in your case...

kept the swingarm skidplate to avoid her tearing shi* up...

sure it can the ball joint rubbers do not melt in 400Â_° heat... got a little grease run out and hell i actually accidentally did not tape of the rubber and they got coated red too... it should flake off after a little riding...

I think the heat issue is with the rubber or plastic parts inside the ball joint, not the outer rubber boot.

Looks nice though:)

yeah the 250r got torn apart tonight... powdercoating in the next week or so... and the cobra, oh god that is a never ending project there...

Just keep a good eye on the ball joints:) Check them frequently;)
