450r Plastic cutting, and grab bar info

I wanted to see some of your guys 450r's with the front plastics cut because im doing my soon and i just wanted to see some different styles. Also, i need to get a grab bar that can last more than a week, ive broken three of them and i need the most sturdy one out there, any suggestions are welcome, thank you...

Grab bars are ment to break because if they dont you end up transfering that energy to the subframe and breaking that. You are going to end up spedning alot more money on a sub frame then you would a grab bar. The previous owner of my quad bent up som SS tube, it help up great but busted the welds on the subframe.

What is it that you are doing that you keep breaking grab bars?

well whenever i let my friends ride it and try to do wheelies, they dont know how to use the brake to balance out the quad, so they go back and break the grab bar.

Sounds like your friends should be the ones replacing grab bars... not you.

or stop letting your friends ride your quad, then you wont need to buy new grab bars

yeah, i know, but one of my friends had a raptor and when he was stll learning to do wheelies, he always went back on the grab bar and never broke it.

im new to the quad thing kinda, whats the point of cutting the plastics? when i go through the mud i kinda wish that they covered me a little more sometimes

Some cut them so they can see where their front tires are in ruts, rocks, trees, etc. Some cut them for the looks. I prefer full fenders.

i marked them with electric tape, the cut them with a hacksaw, then used a lighter around the edges to make it smooth

with the stock fenders I see pritty good but with my 400ex stock fenders you cant see but I wouldnt cut the front fenders on 450

well if the fenders already arent really protecting you when they are stock, you might as well just make them look better by cutting them.
