Hey guys,
Just curious how peppy the new Raptor 250 is. I'm about 6'3" and about 190lbs. Would this quad get me around quickly? I'm in the market for a new quad, but the budget is not bottomless. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

i agree, being that tall it will probably be uncomfortable, i would look more at a 300ex or maybe even a kawasaki mojave, i think the mojave's have the most room

Did some research and on one test of the Raptor 250, they had a test rider who was 6'4" (Allen Knowls of CT Racing) and there were no complaints about feeling cramped. Also, I noticed its just about the same size as a Honda Recon (or a TRX 250). My brother has a Recon that I've been on a few times and its doesn't feel small at all to me. Its actually pretty easy to throw around. I've had a couple of quads (400EX and currently a Scrambler 500 4x4). I like the Scrambler, but its such a pig! I want something thats easy to manuver and easy to throw around. What do you guys think?

if you think you can be comfy on it, i think you will love it

Well, my brother is two inches taller than me and about 50 pounds heavier and he feels pretty comfy on a Recon. But anyways, how would you say the 250 would move me around? Would it have enough power to put a smile on my face?

hi matt
I weigh around 225 pounds and its enough for me, the low down torque and acceleration through the gears would move quite a bit of weight around ! more than enough leg room, but, go and sit on one first and see what you think, if you want one,get one. You will be pleasantly surprised how they go and handle, I know I was when we had the first one.Wide A Arms and a wide axle like anything else will improve it immensely and that would be enough to spend if your budget would allow it.

We have a couple of them at the shop and have a great time chasing around on them. It would be fun to have an adult class for them. You could count me in!!!

If your th tall and weigh that much I would recamend starting with a raptor 350 or even a warrior 350, I would just be afraid tha you would grow tired of the 250 in a very short time.
