first gear was having trouble going into the other day just curious any answers

clutch drag???? just a thought, first thing i would think of. I know mine was ging into neutral hard and the clutch was about wearing thin.

Well just couse it is new does not mean that it was adjusted properly, the fact that it is an 08 meand it's under warranty.

or you have bad shift fork or drum, but still a warranty thing

Don't have too much free play in your clutch. The way it is made the clutch rod is not notched exactly on center and is very hard steel. and if it has too much free play it will chip the rod and then may plug one of the oil holes on the rod of the tranny. I have my cases split and found this.

As long as the clutch disengages you have enough free play on the LTR. This could be part of the seizing of 5th gear also.
