Well first the 450R carb will make a nice improvement.

Second, check out My 450R carb install (http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=314423) for a pretty good write-up. I still have some of these adapters, if interested PM me.

Jetting? The reason the 450R stock jetting is different is because it is a different motor.

Unfortunately no one can tell you what jets will work best in the motor. But we can make suggestions to get you close, YOU MUST TEST!!!

Depending on temp and elevation? I'd start at a 165-170 main, needle on the 3rd notch and a 50 pilot, with the lid on.

Bu, I must say you will get a another nice power gain if you don't run a lid...and this will change jetting!

Good luck.

Elevation is 2,075....He is just looking for an estimate on what jetting to start at. Right now, its an average of temps in the 30's to 40's pretty much.
