But just trying to see what everyone else does shipping wise for their larger parts cause i have some fenders and rims n tires to ship. can only imagine what they want to ship these parts

the frame would cost alot due to its size not its weight. rims and tires are usually pretty reasonable to ship. i had a set of rims and tire mailed to me thru usps for 67 bucks a year or 2 ago. i have always used ups when i ship large items. but the biggest thing i have shipped was a engine and cost about 65 to ship that

My inlaws bought an antique grandfather clock off ebay a couple of months ago, and the guy shipped it greyhound. That may be a route to look into

I shipped 2 motors for about $65 each to. And that was in a big plastic container. Shipping prices went up a little over the last year or two. But $200 shipping is way to much for a frame. The frame is like the size of a pocket bike box and them pocket bikes are 50lbs with the box and only cost $40 to ship.

make an account at ups.com and find a place to weigh your stuff enter all your info, print the shipping label and tape it on. schedule a pickup to have the truck stop at your house.

i work at ups and the problem with shipping something as large as a frame is that we require everything to be shipped in a box and then charge ridiculous prices for everything oversized because of the room it takes up in the trucks.

Here is how I have shipped frames..Wrap them in bubble wrap and then shrink wrap them and USE FED-EX..I have shipped frames from Pa to Cali for around $100 this way.

I ship plastic the same way.

I have never had an issue..just bubble wrap it and then shrink wrap it. Just don't wrap the shrink wrapping too tight.

i guess it just depends on how bad they mistreat the packages. i shipped plastic to pa and cali. both in boxes. the one that went to cali. the plastic was hanging out of it when he got it. i even had to boxes in one and it did that.

guys i'll tell you from experience DO NOT ship through ups without getting the insurance. i've seen packages mistreated in ways you could never imagine.
