I run an IMS/Roll shifter on my 660 and don't have any clearance issues. I run a Pro Design case saver, though. Did you install it right and remove all the linkage when you took off the stock shifter?

My other thought is if your swingarm pivot bolt is bent, or one of your engine mounts is cracked or loose, then your motor could be sitting cocked in the frame, which could create clearance issues. As for clearance with the case saver, I'm stumped.

the case saver came with two spacers i never used them the first time but the case saver set to far back so if chain flew off it looked like it would hit case so i put spacers on and now shifter hits case saver should i take them back out

Yes. Use the components provided to you by DG. If the case saver appears too close to the case itself, to the point it will not catch the chain, then I suggest you return this item and buy another one. My Pro Design case saver has already done it's job once and protected my case from a thrown chain.
